Conscious Centred Community Announces
First Annual Celebration!
Victoria, British Columbia – October 27th, 2008: Conscious Centred Community has just announced their First Annual Celebration. The event will take place on Saturday, November 15th, from 6 to 11 pm at The Positive Living Centre, 3281 Harriet Road, in Victoria.
“There will be food, live music, dancing, a Silent Auction, and much more,” says Lisa Cole, a CCC representative. “This is a family event - kids are welcome and we’ll have lots of fun activities for them. It promises to be an enjoyable night for everyone!”
Conscious Centred Community is a community network, serving Southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.
“Many are feeling challenged by the times we’re living in,” says Cole, “and that’s why a strong sense of community is becoming more and more important. Alone, we may find ourselves struggling, but together we can do anything. With CCC, we work with the knowledge that each one of us has a special gift to share, a role to play that no one else can fill.
“When I first moved to Victoria, it took me a while to meet others who cared about the same things I do. Since we started CCC, we’ve heard so many similar stories from others. Facilitating this process is an integral part of what we do – we provide a space where people can connect with each other and find their niche.
“We are pioneering a whole new form of community, one that is conscious and heart-centred, one that will expand and evolve along with us!”
CCC has a website with a Service Directory, Events Pages, and a quarterly “multimedia magazine” that highlights people, places, and events that are making a difference.
And CCC’s endeavours are not limited to the virtual. They also host live events where people can get together in person; their upcoming Celebration is a perfect example.
Cole says the event will be a “wonderful opportunity to connect, network, and co-create with like-hearted people, a night to celebrate each other and all of the wonderful things that are happening here!”
