THE “U PROCESS” –
A Key to Learning How to
Become Agents of the Emerging Future
The book Presence by Peter Senge and others offers a compelling account of the “U Process”, a method of letting go of habitual ways of seeing and acting in the world of human affairs so that it becomes possible to get in touch with what the unfolding future requires of us.
This talk and workshop explores how we can relate to the future as co-creators rather than as victims of circumstances. It offers us an orientation to the future that is empowering and creative especially as our society faces challenges that are wide ranging and complex. This offering consists of a Friday evening introduction to the origins and significance of the “U Process” and how it works, followed by a Saturday workshop that provides a more in-depth experience which includes going through the various stages of the “U Process” with exercises and practice sessions.
People are free to attend either event or both.

Panel on RESILIENCE –
Developing Inner Strength
in Challenging Times
This panel will explore the concept of resilience from spiritual, psychological, and psycho-social perspectives as well as from social, environmental and economic ones.
John Shields will discuss how the new understanding of the universe as a continually self-developing organism (as opposed to a Newtonian machine) allows us to see ourselves as essential components of a resilient whole.
Michael Tacon will discuss the key concepts in psychology that can make up a psychology of resilience.
Chris Bullock will discuss the “core wound” that leads to addiction and a profound sense of disconnection from the environment and how relational practices like Non-violent Communication can help heal this wound and restore a sense of connection.
Tamara Schwartzentruber will discuss the crises that will make resilience a necessity, and the economic, social and psychological changes needed for resilience in the face of the likely future.
Our hope is that the discussion that follows the panel will help us all see the ways in which a multi-perspectival approach to resilience will give us a firmer base for understanding and action.

In this workshop, using the 5Rhythms moving meditation practice and 5Rhythms movement psychotherapy as our maps, we will explore and embody our layers. Through mask-creating, music, dance, therapeutic movement and deep psychology we will explore one of the many "masks" that we wear in our lives and in doing so make the unconscious more conscious. We wil deepen our self-awareness of how this "mask" moves within us and in our relationships. We will experience the dynamic mana raising of the High Self chant Eh Ho Mai and the subtle heart filled blessings of Aloha Mai.
Movement will accentuate the Huna waves that we create supporting our spirits to soar in a balance of heavenly high self
and rooted earth energy.
I will facilitate a fun filled and sacred reverence of Huna while honouring personal process with the intention of creating freedom space to enhance creative expression.
